Notes
* Negative or absent data would be as described on the Statement of Conduct, a template version of which is here. This data provided is intended to result in a better-informed hiring decision. The decision to hire remains with the implementing organisation, but would be based upon the answers (or, potentially, the lack of answers) from previous employers to the questions ‘Was the Candidate found to have committed Misconduct (sexual exploitation, sexual abuse or sexual harassment) during the period of employment defined above?’ and ‘Is the Candidate currently being investigated for an allegation of sexual exploitation, sexual abuse or sexual harassment?’. The Statement of Conduct allows respondent organisations to note that they ‘are unable to provide an answer’ and outline why, which may result in additional requests for information from the candidate or his/her previous employers and may negatively impact the subsequent hiring decision.
